In 1808 he and wife Charity, were in a little band of people that organized the Presbyterian Church, that met for 22 years in the "Stone Court-house". He married Charity Britt in Northumberland County, Pa. on Dec. 17, 1793. He and Charity had 10 children.
Of the 19 children of Ephriam, 18 lived to have families.
